Palin’s Problem: Not Enough Media Attention? December 23, 2008

Apparently our governor has decided that her problem during the campaign was that she didn’t give enough interviews. That’s great logic, because she was so well-prepared for the few that she did. If she had done more, I’m sure it would have done great things for the public’s opinion of her.

Palin’s Star On The Wane? September 27, 2008

It’s been a bad week for Sarah Palin.  Her poor performance in her interview with Katie Couric continues to damage her popularity. In fact, the situation has deteriorated to the point that conservative columnist Kathleen Parker, who initially loved McCain’s pick of Palin as vice-presidential nominee, called for Sarah to step down from the ticket in her nationally syndicated column.

Palin’s reputation also appears to be suffering in the eyes of the national media, who are frustrated that Sarah’s press time is being kept to an absolute minimum (I haven’t kept close count, but I think the number of impromptu questions Sarah has taken from the press pool since her nomination is around six, one of which was a question about why she doesn’t take more questions.).  Usually the major media outlets go out of their way to appear balanced in their coverage, especially of politics, which is why I was so surprised to see this exchange between Jack Cafferty and Wolf Blitzer on CNN:
